A voice, in
your hands.

The wider opening. The loose reed. Give them a melody,
and choose how each note arrives and leaves.

Tuned at reference breath. Changing breath can move the sounding pitch.

Beginning

Release a restrained reed, or let the air bring it in.

Ending

End promptly, or let the breath fall away.

Overlapping keys carry the same breath. Turn off to give each note a new beginning.

Ready when you are. Escape stops everything.

Each phrase uses your beginning and ending choices.

YOUR HANDS, YOUR PHRASE

Keep a gesture.

Record your notes, breath, and bends. Replay the same gesture with another voice to hear what changes.

Recording captures controls, not microphone audio. Replaying uses the selected voice and the gesture’s recorded control changes.

No gesture recorded yet.

WAV uses the selected voice and current phrase. It excludes the listening volume.

What is being played?

A measured reference, room to move.

Each voice has its own fixed note tuning at 80% breath. Breath is measured relative to that reed’s closing pressure: 100% means the pressure scale of its unconstrained reed spring, before contact with the mouthpiece. It is not a volume percentage.

The pitch display estimates the sounding fundamental. A changing or noisy sound may not give a stable reading. The display does not correct the sound.

Higher rate is the starting point. Standard may help if playback breaks up on your device; its tone can differ.

Changing voice or rate stops the current phrase. Short endings also use a brief output fade. The close-listening page compares the combined short ending with breath-led release.
